Gene Stringfield Building Material Co. was started in 1968 by Eugene "Gene" Stringfield. Gene started out with the humble job of loading lumber from local mills into his pickup truck and selling it to builders at their job sites.

We are still family owned and operated by Ruth Stringfield and her son, Mark Stringfield. The company has come a long way from that first pickup truck. Today our facility in Eugene, Oregon is over three acres, and we deliver building materials throughout western Oregon with our fleet of custom-built freight trucks.

Our staff is second to none. Our four salesmen combine over 130 years of experience in the building materials industry; buying, selling and estimating. The yard crew and truck drivers have earned a reputation with contractors for excellent service in assembling and delivering lumber packages to your site.
